The above standard came into effect on 31 October 2017 and supersedes BS 5306-3:2009 which is now withdrawn. This is a full revision of the standard and there are a number of changes in the revised Code of Practice that you need to be aware of. These are detailed in NSI Technical Bulletin 0042 which is available from the secure log-in area of the NSI website. Hard copies of the new BS may be purchased from NSI or BSI. The cost from NSI is £199.50 per copy. You can gain access to the new BS via the Standards on Subscription service on the NSI website which is renewable annually. Whilst the online subscription does provide a low cost access to standards, there are restrictions including one that prohibits printing.
