UPDATES TO APPROVAL CRITERIA – NSI NACOSS GOLD AND SYSTEMS SILVER SCHEMES

We would like to draw your attention to the recently updated Approval Criteria for the NSI NACOSS Gold Scheme and Systems Silver Scheme, both now at Issue 8. There have been minor changes and clarifications within both documents. A summary of the changes is given below: Insurance requirements (NACOSS Gold only): Companies are now required to hold a minimum of £5 million efficacy (indemnity) insurance. General criteria (NACOSS Gold and System Silver): Requirements for use or partial use of a virtual office have been added. Introduced OP2-085 Requirements for the use of a virtual office. Contracts (NACOSS Gold and System Silver): Guidelines have been updated to promote trustworthiness and accountability in the company’s operations, focusing on consumer protection and ethical business practices. Appendix C has been added with further details. Staff (System Silver only): Requirements for minimum employed ‘staff members’ has been changed along with changes to the use of the ‘Buddy agreement’. Agreed deviations (NACOSS Gold and System Silver) Improvements and clarification on the use of agreed deviations. Minor changes to improve grammar and subject clarity have been made to both documents. How to locate these documents The new Approval Criteria are available in the Approved Company area of the NSI website. Once logged in, select the ‘Documents’ tab and your medal colour and you will find a list of the schemes on the right-hand side. Select your scheme from the list to find the relevant documentation.
