NEW NSI ELEARNING COURSE AVAILABLE: SECURITY SCREENING TO BS 7858:2019

NSI has developed a brand new eLearning course to help approved companies understand and apply the requirements of the revised Code of Practice BS 7858:2019 ‘Screening of individuals working in a secure environment’. This is an introductory course aimed at screening administrators and controllers but available to all who wish to enrol. Whilst both NSI’s full BS 7858:2019 classroom course and this eLearning course cover the same fundamental content and information, the classroom course is recommended for people with more significant responsibilities relating to screening. The course includes guidance on the following topics: • information and documentation requirements; • relevant legislation and regulatory requirements; • the difference between personal opinion and fact; and • the implications of non-compliance. On completion of the course, users will: • understand the reasons for screening; • be able to assist in developing an effective screening process; and • understand how to apply the requirements in practice. Each user will be presented with a personalised Certificate of Completion following a short multiple-choice quiz to test their understanding of the content. The cost of the course is £54 + VAT per user. If you would like to enrol yourself or your colleagues, or you would like more information about the course, please contact Maxine Dent (maxine.dent@nsi.org.uk / 01628 764831).
